We are a grassroots effort of volunteers, encouraging fellow California residents to get involved with the evolution and support of "CalUBI," also known as Assembly Bill 2712.
How to Get Involved
The CalUBI Bill (AB 2712) is currently assigned to the Assembly's Committee on Human Services. The original hearing was postponed due to the pandemic, but there are still a number of ways for you to get involved now:
Contact Assemblymember Evan Low.
Share your thoughts with the author of the bill through the survey on his website.
Assemblymember Low will use this feedback to propose amendments for the bill to the Committee on Human Services.
Contact the Committee members.
The Committee has the power to Amend the bill. Let them know what amendments you would like to see.
The names and contact information of the Assemblymembers on the Committee of Human Services are listed here.
Contact your Assemblymember.
Contact them by phone, fax, or email.
Get a group of friends and family members in your district together and ask your representative to meet with you all as a group to discuss UBI generally, and share your thoughts on AB 2712.
To get more involved and help organize others, please read our CalUBI Initiative overview or contact us with any questions.
